Re-attempt at last night's eaten post
OK, I know the first part was about Thanksgiving. Hoping you had a good if not great one, or at least realized how much you had to be thankful for.
If you need a little help to understand just how much, then reading this blog should be a big eye opener: you can access the internet from wherever you are, you are literate, and you gotta be fed and clothed, per the letter of the law. ^_~ That's a lot better than most of the people of the world.
And oh yes, you know me! XD Big blessing, *giggle*
*bounces off soapbox*

Ginny Status
Mood: *changed from last night* Wary, nervous, prepping for today's loooooooong day
Newsboys Song of the Day: Joy (lyrics below)
Trigun Status: First 9 eps. Fun. ^^;
FFX-2 Status: Ch. 3, much leveling up, some irritation. I breezed through the first two chapters and now I'm getting really close to having my rear end served back to me.

(Witty Title
My dear Sara, an ass may be a stubborn creature, but if you try to use two of them at once for your cart, you're sure not going anywhere anytime soon.
OK, that sounded more impressive in my mind. ^^;;;
What your letter made me realize was that I still loved you, even when I thought I didn't. When I had posted that about you in my blogger a few weeks ago, I actually ended up going to bed in tears. Yeah.
It wouldn't hurt if I didn't care, right?
I too am remorseful for letting us drift away; an attitude I've developed over the year is that few, if any, things are solely one person's fault.
There's much more I could say, but I'm hoping this is a good start.

YAY!
The same day I heard from Sara, I also heard from someone else I hadn't spoken to in a while--Dan Lucking! (Sheesh, y'all are ganging up on me, lol! BBaka just emailed me last night, too! ^^; That reminds me--I need to go talk to Shaun.)
Buddy, you are simply inspiring and your email made a timely appearance. Thank you! *grin*
And Hi Jamal and BB and Shaun and Ginny and Flora and anyone else I haven't talked to that I need to! Sorry my schedule has been so horrid as of late.

Apartment update
Mom wants me to wait till after the new year to start looking. That'll give me a chance to watch my finances, to see what I am capable of. I don't suspect I'll be bringing the computer with me (no room, but watch me eat my words >_>), so I'll try to keep up with this Blog till...
Aww, stop looking so pouty! Sheesh! *hug*

Off to Work
And if I get written up for going to church instead of picking up for "Faith", then rest assured, it won't be a problem for them much longer.

Joy (Newsboys)
You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it
Your love for me irresistable
I can't fight it, I can't fight it

*guitar riff*

If life is water, I was dry as the Tuscon dirt
If it's a gamble, I'd already lost lost my shirt
If it's a journey, I was dazed without a clue
I flipped a "U" back to the first love I ever knew

You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I recieve it, I recieve it

If life's a battle, the invasion is complete
If it's a rhythm, I have found the perfect beat
If it's a renaissance, I've got a new birhday
The world don't give it
And the world can't take it away

Bowed and broken, everything's new
All that I need, You're like water to seed
*And how Your love, rights everything wrong
In my weakness
You're even stronger, You're pulling me back
Where I belong
(*Ginny's interp before she got the right words:
And how Your love rubs everything wrong
and in my weakness
You're ever stronger You won't let me back
where I belong)

You give me joy that's unspeakable
And I like it, and I like it
Your love for me is irresistible
I can't fight it, I can't fight it
You carried the cross and took my shame
I believe it, I believe it
You shine Your light of amazing grace
I recieve it, I recieve it

You know, I just did this big giant post on everything going on in my life right now and it got EATEN by the Blogger Demon or suchlike.

*grumbles* The computer should be thankful I'm not kicking it through the window right about now. It's messed up everything I've tried to do, internet/art wise.

Ah well. ^_^ I'll see if I can dredge all that back up again over the weekend.

(Love you, Sara.)

Reminder
Go see "Cat in the Hat".
Check out "Trigun" if you haven't already--I just started watching it (first six eps under my belt), and I like it a lot. Not to say it's morally good or anything, *kind snerk* but it's amusing to watch.

Entertaining Angels (another Newsboys song and yes, Ginny-blurb at the end)
one to another
do You remember me?
i feel so small
are You listening tonight?
so temporary
things that i have seen
i ran so far
will You take me back again?

entertaining angels
by the light of my t.v. screen
24-7 You wait for me
entertaining angels
by the time i fall to my knees
host of heaven, sing over me

one to another
the feelings in between
i won't let go
of all You taught me - alright
close as a brother
the way we used to be
i'll hold my breath
and wait for You to breathe

entertaining angels
by the light of my t.v. screen
24-7 You wait for me
entertaining angels
while the night becomes history
host of heaven, sing over me

Ginny blurb like I promised
1. "So how are you today?"
A. Good!
B. Frazzled
C. Amused
D. Mwrghhh....

The correct answer is...well, fudge, got me. It's been an emotional rollercoaster all day today (and the first guy that reads this and says, "typical female" is soooo getting smacked. ^_~)

*munches on chocolate, musing* Where in the heavens do I begin? Well, considering some of the stuff I really don't feel comfortable sharing here (because I discovered that this is equivalent to a diary, and you know how people are always ready to sneek a peek), we can leave that part out. And some of the other stuff I can't repeat because you wouldn't really understand. And still OTHER stuff would be so vague in my reference that I'd have 5 people emailing me by tomorrow, asking, "OMGaw, were you talking about ME in your blog?!?!"

Right, so just plain vent first, then the good stuff. ^^

Vent
My job is about to become responsible for me snapping. >_> Not really, but somehow or other, our server turnover got dangerously high. Normally, we run about 6o servers. We're barely holding at 3o right now. And one of the ToGo girls just quit today. Can we say stress? Mm-hmm.

Some of you that spend time with me already have already seen how spazzed out I've gotten. Some of you know that I can't spend as much time with you as I'd like (that's for online peeps, Jamsy, so put that email down, NOW, heh). And unfortunately, it's getting worse, what with the holiday season. I've pretty much told the scheduling manager that I can work a double shift on Mon, Tues, and Fridays (Sats. are debatable, Weds and Thurs nights are out, and I BETTER get a day off, so sure as heck that's gonna be Sunday--if I didn't, I know God'd yank me out of there somehow just so I could spend some time with Him. He always finds a way, so I'm not messing with that, heh.).

I still can't believe "Faith" (ToGo girl) quit. Well, sorta. She's been with us for a while, and she got a second job at--wait for it--Hooters. Yeah. *rolls eyes* Yesterday, she sent her brother (who's also a server) to me to ask if I would pick up for her Weds. night. Weds. nights are my Ministry nights--I sure as stuff ain't giving up my time with the kids, not even for money. I basically told him to tell her I had church. Well, then she walks into the middle of our Trainer's meeting (a definite no-no) to ask everyone if they could pick up. Everyone said no. Then she calls me this morning, asks me for another girl's number so she could call her, and then calls me yet AGAIN, begging me to pick up for her. Now, I may have been a pushover when I first started working at Chili's, but love...

NO MEANS NO.

"Well then, I gotta quit." She tried to guilt me into doing it. And at first, the manager at the store gave me the same sense--why wasn't I picking up? Again, I'm not going to put my job ahead of my faith, or the ministry that has expected me there every Weds. night. I'm not going to jump for a girl who waits till the last minute to get her six covered. I'm a little put out that she's gone--more work for me (and I am SOOO screwed Friday night--I have no second person now), but again, I don't appreciate being put on the spot. I feel sorta guilty, but everyone is assuring me "Faith" brought it on herself for not prepping properly.

I feel better now! ^_^

oops, I lied, no good stuff...towwy
Yeah, since both my job is seriously pulling on my time and since I am looking at moving out of my parents' house some time in Jan., I'm going to be online a lot less. More so and more so until I won't be on at all. I suggest to everyone to learn about good ol' fashioned snail mail, heh, or get some calling cards, because my schedule is getting tighter and tighter. *whimper* On the flip side, I'm finally getting out and getting to know people IRL. *hugs Jamal and Jenna*

Which means that this blog'll peter out, too. But when it's your time to move on...

Enough groaning--enjoy me whilst I last, lol!

And go see Cat in the Hat--I command thee!

Finally moving that awful Sailor Moon thingie down
OK, for all of you who thought all Christian music was just long, slow, high vocal songs (and nothing's wrong with that, really), then think again.

I've always liked hearing the Newboys on the radio. I finally went out and bought their "Shine" CD, and all I can say is...

...WHY DID I TAKE SO FREAKING LONG TO GET A CD BY THEM!??!

Yeah. They're that good.

I remember back in the movie School of Rock, Jack Black's character said that rock and roll is all about sticking it to the man. Newboys are a prime example of that in the Christian world--sticking it to the general public for being too cautious and "politically correct" about their faith (and boy, I could write forever on that little topic right there, but I won't, heh).

My favorite song by them at the moment. Get their CD. Get ahold of a lyric site, too, because, like most rock, it's sorta hard to hear the words over the music. Meanwhile, I have a few people (*coughcough*SHAUN and his music group*coughcough*) to talk to about the Newboys. (Kidding, Shaun--I know I'm always suggesting stuff for you guys. ^^)

Breakfast
Hold the milk, put back the sugar
They are powerless to console
We've gathered here to sprinkle ashes
from our late friend's cereal bowl.

Breakfast Clubbers, say the motto
that he taught us to repeat:
"You will lose it in your gym class
if you wait 'til noon to eat."

Back when the Chess Club said our eggs were soft
every Monday he'd say grace and hold our juice aloft
Oh, none of us knew his checkout time would come so soon
But before his brain stopped waving, he composed this tune:

When the toast is burned
and all the milk has turned
and Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the Big One finds you
may this song remind you
that they don't serve breakfast in Hell

Breakfast clubbers, drop the hankies.
Though to some our friend was odd,
that day he bought those pine pajamas
his check was good with God.

Those here without the Lord,
how do you cope?
For this morning we don't mourn
like those who have no hope

Oh, rise up, Fruit Loop lovers -
sing out sweet & low
With spoons held high
we bid our brother, "Cheerio!"

When the toast is burned
and all the milk has turned
and Captain Crunch is waving farewell
When the Big One finds you
may this song remind you
that they don't serve breakfast in Hell.

Oh greeeeeeeat...I'm the airheaded ditz with the hair that looks like spaghetti. >_> On the plus side, I'm a main character. ^^ Mrrrfff?

On the Outside, looking in (AKA Midnight Musing)
You know, it's funny. Not ha-ha funny, but strange funny. I picked that quiz off of an old...*sigh*...former...friend's online something or other. I kept looking for some sign that she still thought about me. Hate, love, miss, whatever.
Pathetic, really. More depressing than anything. >_>
I read somewhere that some friendships aren't meant to last a lifetime, and that hurts. Why can't they?

.....this is soooooooooo depressing. ^^;;;;; There's really nothing that I can do about it anymore. It's been such a long time. Do I miss her? Well, the funny thing is, I missed who we were--two Digimon-obsessed, Lutheran girls trying to figure out the rest of the world. And then we went two ways--compromise and none. One of us refused to give up what she believed in, one of us became...more acceptable? Which was which? Mweh.

Mindless blabble. ^^;;; Online relationships are weird. I think I'm just upset because I'm overly nervous about being a server, that TABC's gonna be there tomorrow and so catch my butt for doing the alcohol procedure wrong ("Then do it right, duh!" is the common phrase from everyone right now >_>).

And I need to remind myself to remember those friends I have now. I know a few I'm starting to lose contact with, and I'm just so afraid of going through that mess again--or maybe I'm just not caring because of that mess or--

MWEH! Need sleep. This is getting ridiculous. @_@;

I'm ok! Really, I am! ^_^
