Duplex
When I first heard of this movie, I thought Ben Stein instead of Ben Stiller. Oops. But both Ben and Drew Barrymore played off of each other very well.

So what is this movie about? Well, if you've seen Meet the Parents (which Stiller was also in), you get the general idea. Now that I think of it, this could almost be considered a sequel in a twisted thinking sort of way.

Anyways, the story revolves around this newlywed couple that are out to find the apartment/house of their dreams, and stumble on a place that seems too good to be true. The only catch is their upstairs neighbor, an elderly lady that ends up driving the young couple up the wall. I somewhat predicted how the ending came out, but this movie was good for several chuckles all the way through. Duplex is also a good example of why we need to set boundaries with each other, heh.

Go see if you haven't already. Funny.

Music, Art, and Life in General
Nothing major. I definitely enjoy my FFX Piano Collection--it's a CD with only a single piano playing some of the better tracks. I especially like the ending theme in piano only--gorgeous.

I finished the Superman pic today. I did a sorta crappy job of double matting it, though. Shannon's just tickled that it is done, so I'll bring it up for him tomorrow. And I'll take lots of photos of it before I give it away, so I can show all of you.

I have inspiration for my next black matte piece, which will be Auron most likely, with phrases that indicate his tragic heroness.
"I'm afraid of letting go/ that the pain I hide will show..."
"All alone.../a fallen knight..."
"No, Heaven don't hear me..."
And so on and so forth.

I wouldn't say that tragedy is appealing. But I do feel I identify with Auron very well. Most people think that, since he's really strong and mysterious, he's your stereotypical bad (butt). He's very human, though (well, as human as a video game character and multitudes of pixel pologons can get, lol!).

I hope Shannon likes the picture. And I can finally get back to drawing the FFS Comic again. I've had 89 unique visitors and 246 page views since Sept 27. Daaaang.
